Enjoy a moderately challenging ride, on local 2-lane mountain roads, to the only region in the world that grows 100% Kona Coffee beans. This ride requires some pedaling effort, controlled descent skills and comfort riding with passing traffic.

Our local guide takes you straight up Hualālai, which is the third most active volcano on the Island of Hawaiʻi and typically erupts two to three times per 1,000 years. We peddle through the village of Holualoa to elevations of more than 1,400 feet for spectacular views of the entire North Kona Coast. Once up on the mountain, we visit coffee farms to learn how they grow coffee and see the unique methods used to harvest and brew the most tasty coffee in the world. Stops at several roadside coffee stands give opportunity for unique tasting experiences of pure local java flavor.

This is a great ride for adventurous coffee lovers and those who want some epic photos of the Kona landscape.

This ride is about 15 miles round trip and includes long uphill and downhill sections with passing traffic. We recommend this tour for experienced riders. Carry cinch-sacks are available for rental. Reef-safe sunscreen and rain ponchos are available for purchase.
