Our Story

Aloha and e komo mai!

Tim & Alicia Dalhouse were on a business trip to Germany in 2022 and decided to drive a few hours to visit Amsterdam, a city where bikes outnumber cars. There, they took an eBike tour of the city and immediately fell in love with the freedom and fun mobility of eBikes! Living in the beautiful tourist location​ of Kona, Hawaii, they realized this eBike tour thing would be a big hit back home. So, with their son, Scott, they set out to open Kona Fat Bikes!

Soon, they enlisted the help of Alicia's cousin, Rod Kaufman, who was already a certified bike mechanic. Rod & his wife Devonne, immediately packed their bags and moved to Kona to help open and run the bike shop.
